Volunteers and Interns: Throughout the season we will invite the community to the farm to volunteer. For those who are interested in being more involved in the farm, we also have a limited number of job opportunities and internships.
2012 Summer Job Opportunities and Internships:
Farm staff and interns will be involved in all aspects of the farm operation, including planting, harvesting, washing produce, weeding, irrigating, greenhouse management and working with volunteers. There will likely also be work in creating and maintaining farm infrastructure – building hoop-houses, fencing, irrigation systems. There may also be opportunities for teaching groups of young students who will come to the farm a few times during the year.
Commitment: Starting between May and June, finishing late August; potential to continue to early November. Part time: 12-24 hrs/wk; Full time: 35-40 hrs/wk; Internships: minimum of 12 hrs/wk.
Compensation: $8.25/hr to $9.50/hr depending on experience. Some produce and eggs will be available to you on the farm. There is no housing available on or off the farm. Unpaid internships are also available.
